Reorganisation law

At SelskabsAdvokaterne, we assist companies and personally owned businesses, which are insolvent or at risk of becoming so, with reorganization. Our aim is to secure a viable long-term solution for the benefit of the business.

We have extensive experience in and knowledge of such reorganizations and are used to negotiate with all relevant stakeholders, including banks and other lenders as well as suppliers to the business.

Members of our team are able at short notice to put up the man-hours needed when this is required due to the urgency of a situation. That said, it is normally better for the final outcome to involve our team at an earlier stage, allowing for better planning and increased negotiation leverage towards stakeholders.

Often the handling of a reorganization involves for one of our lawyers to be formally appointed by the bankruptcy court.

We also advise clients who are counterparts to an involvent business or estate, whether e.g. as creditor or as the addressee for a claim for avoidance.

We always keep a close communication with our client in order to co-ordinate the effort in the face of often rapidly changing circumstances.
